2018 Honda Odyssey: The Technology Advanced Minivan

The Japanese multinational conglomerate is in its 5th generation of their Odyssey model. During the Auto Show in Detroit, Honda left a mark with their 2018 Honda Odyssey minivan. It will hit the showrooms in spring.

For the exterior, it is still recognizable as Honda's Odyssey although the creases become sharper and body panels become more sculpted. This 2018 car model totally differentiates itself with the previous models.

When it comes to technology, this minivan also has a say. It provides the passengers the capability to stream videos from its 4G LTE built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, public Wi-Fi or even the passenger's device.

The Apple CarPlay is navigated through an 8 inches touchscreen along with the Android Auto systems that come with system updates over the air. Cabin Watch is also one of the new added features for the car. It is a camera system with night vision that views the passengers for the driver.

Along with the Cabin, Watch is the Cabin Talk. It is a technology that enables the drivers to have a conversation with the passengers in the second and third row with the headphones and speakers.

Same as the other Honda models, the 2018 Honda Odyssey still sets for its usage in the real world. With its new seats, magic Slide, it can slide side to side with flexibility and ease. On the other hand, the owners can redesign the layout of the car of the seats for the occupants and cargo. In addition, one can secure an infant with the child seat. When it comes to the road, this 2018 Honda Odyssey can run as much as 280 horsepower with its V6 3.5-liter engine with a nine or ten-speed transmission in automatic.

For the safety part, Honda comes with mitigation and collision warning, departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping assist. With the additional rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and body structure, it is expected this Odyssey earns high safety scores.
