Finally, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 release date is sort of more definitive now than it has been since the first season's last airing. After nearly 4 years of impatiently waiting, the directors of the hit anime series teased major changes to the second season, pointing out more horses in "AoT."
"AoT" Season 2 directors Tetsurō Araki and Masashi Koizuka spoke in an interview about a few adjustments with the second season so that they could shed light on a few characters. But more exciting were the key teasers for the explosive season, something to really look forward to. And thanks to Fukushuu's (Tumblr account) translation, we got a chance to understand the interview better.
First point Koizuka made is that season 1 had more city street battles. Thus, we could expect that the directors of "Attack on Titan" season 2 to have toned down it a bit. Along with "Shingeki no Kyojin" manga creator Hajime Isayama, they agreed that they are going to give the spotlight to another character.
So, basically, fans will see character developments in the second season. But Koizuka emphasized: "Of course, we're doing our best to not create those scenes with solely exposition - we want to incorporate dialogue seamlessly into the overall theme of the story."
Second, there will be a whole lot of horses, running horses. In fact, Araki noted that WIT is to become the team with the most members who can draw and animate horses. "... only when you see the horses galloping can you finally interpret the action sequence's superb quality," Araki added.
Meanwhile, for the manga version of "Attack on Titan," there will be scenes in Season 2 that will not make it into the manga. Araki divulged that Isayama allowed portions not included in the manga to be added into the anime adaptation. So, this is very interesting especially if you are one of the many avid manga readers of the series, although this is quite common among anime adaptations.
"Attack on Titan" season 1 last aired on Sept. 29, and according to Polygon, we will not wait for long anymore. The second massive season of "AoT" will air on April 1, only a few weeks away now. Just hold on.
Here it comes:

In other "Attack on Titan" news, Funimation announced that the 2 recap movies will be played in select US theaters. But both films will only be screened for one night. IGN reports that "Guren no Yuniya" will be played on March 27, while "Jiyuu no Tsubasa" will be on either March 28 or 29, depending on the specific theater.
Arguably one of the most unique and greatest anime series in this generation, catch "Attack on Titan" Season 2 as it returns to thrill us with more mystery and hopefully answers as well. Check out the trailer below.
