The2017 F-350 Super Duty now sports an even more beefed up frame than its predecessor, more powerful engines, generously spacious cabins, a packed with modern technological features. It has a more powerful build thanks to larger frame rails and cross members made from 95 percent high-grade steel.
The new Ford F-350 has an integrated hitch receiver that extends into the frame much farther. This allows the vehicle to tow even the heaviest of conventional trailers with ease.
The vehicle features an aluminum body that is lightweight but dent-resistant which is designed to offset its heavier frame. The cabs on the new F-350 are longer which just adds more to interior comfort and cargo space.
Underneath the F-350's hood is a choice of a 6.2-liter gasoline V8 engine or a turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel V8 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Although they are the same engine options as the previous models, they have been tweaked to produce more horsepower and torque. The diesel engine, for example, is able to produce 440 horsepower at 2,800 revolutions per minute. Torque is 925 pound-feet at 1,800 revolutions per minute. The gasoline engine, on the other hand, can produce 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
The 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty comes in five trims namely XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. It is available in regular cab, SuperCab, and crew cab body styles. One can choose either 6.75-foot or 8.0-foot bed lengths. Each trim sports different driver and passenger comfort features.
The mid-range Lariat, for example, has polished 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, upgraded mirrors, and a premium Sony 10-speaker audio system with two USB ports. The top trim Platinum sports 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights, adaptive steering, blind-spot monitoring, and leather and wood trimmed heated steering wheel and more.
