Actor Will Ferrell worked security during a Los Angeles Lakers game on Feb. 12 and even got to eject someone famous: Shaquille O'Neal.
The former Lakers center was sitting courtside watching the Lakers take one of his other former teams, the Phoenix Suns, when Ferrell came over and told him to stand up. Ferrell then cuffed O'Neal with his hands, and proceeded to escort him from the game according to TMZ.
O'Neal was a good sport and went a long with the joke, as thousands of fans watched and took pictures and videos of the hilarious encounter.
While working the floor as a Lakers Red Coat security officer, Ferrell ejected Shaq from the game for undisclosed reasons. The video of the ejection has since gone viral.
Many media outlets have guessed that since the Lakers were beating the Suns so badly, Shaq wanted to leave the game anyway and decided to have a little fun. The Lakers beat the Suns 91-85 in a game that wasn't as close as the score would indicate.
Ferrell, who played a character named "Ted Vagina," kept a completely stone cold face while ejecting the 7-foot-1, 325 pound former NBA MVP from the arena.
Ferrell is from Orange County and can frequently be seen at Laker games throughout the season. The actor displayed an impressive mustache which he is most likely growing for the sequel to "Anchorman" titled "Anchorman: The Legend Continues."
Shaq has been retired from the NBA since 2011, last playing with the Boston Celtics. He played 19 seasons in the NBA, including 11 with the Lakers, and the Miami Heat where he won four championships according to BasketballReference.com.
