The AMD Ryzen CPU will release as early as next week. There is plenty of buzz about the new CPU since it is the company's official comeback into the gaming world after nearly half a decade.

The new Ryzen chip will be Intel's first real competitor in years. The newest AMD chip is smaller, will possess 2x the L2 cache of a comparable Intel CPU, and is nearly one-third the price of an Intel chip!

According to Forbes, a recent benchmark leak revealed that the Ryzen 7 1700X CPU completely dominated Intel. The alleged $389 AMD Ryzen chip scored higher than the $1,050 Intel Core i7-5960X chip. The benchmark tests are available at Maxon.net. Cinebench R15 will show how similar PC fares against one another.

Similarly, the Ryzen 5 1600X CPU was part of the test. It is a decent CPU with 6 cores and12 threads. It will be priced at only $259. This seemingly mid-ranged CPU could even topple the Core i7-7700K if properly overclocked. While Intel's Core i7-6850K performed better than the Ryzen CPU, it costs less than half the price.

The higher AMD Ryzen 7 1800X was not part of the test. It has a higher base and overclocked processor speeds than the 1700X. It will be priced at $499. This chip could beat the Core i7-6900 chips. And these are the best figures, the overclocked speed of this CPU will go over and beyond.

According to WCCFTech, the Ryzen chips are revolutionary thanks to their Zen Microarchitecture. This new CPU architecture is capable of simultaneous multithreading.

The AMD Ryzen chips will start shipping out at the end of the month and will officially be available by next month. Tweak Town even has photos of them in their boxes! This is welcome news for gamers and PC enthusiasts because Intel will no longer have the CPU monopoly. Will Intel drop their chip prices and will the Ryzen chip prices be increased?
