Kia Motors has teamed up with DC Entertainment and Super Street magazine again to produce an Optima Hybrid inspired by one of the most beloved superheros of all-time, Superman according to a company press release.
The new vehicle was showcased to thousands who attended the Chicago Auto Show. The new Hybrid is the sixth of eight customized Kia vehicles that represent different characters from the Justice League.
"As the most recognized Super Hero in the world, Superman is a symbol of strength and integrity, making him the perfect character to join forces with Kia's first-ever hybrid to create a customized ride powered by a robust and efficient powertrain," said Michael Sprague, executive vice president, marketing and communications, KMA in the company press release.
Super Street and DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee helped to bring Superman's strength and integrity from comic book pages to Kia's hybrid sedan.

"Each of our Justice League-inspired vehicles are remarkable collaborations between the automotive and comic book worlds, and all for a worthy cause," said Sprague in the company press release. "To that, Kia is very proud to be partnering with DC Entertainment to raise awareness for the 'We Can Be Heroes' campaign."
Inside the vehicle includes custom materials chosen to make the car unique in every way possible. The texture was designed to resemble Superman's battle armor, while his iconic "S" shield is embroidered into the seats and steering wheel according to Kia.
