Many new cars were showcased at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show this past week, but the one that people flocked to see was the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette.

Now that the Stingray's design is no longer being kept a secret, the company doesn't need to camouflage the vehicle when taking it out for a drive.
"Stingray is one of the hallowed names in automotive history," said Ed Welburn, GM vice president of global design in a company press release. "We knew we couldn't use the Stingray name unless the new car truly lived up to the legacy. The result is a new Corvette Stingray that breaks from tradition, while remaining instantly recognizable as a Corvette the world over."
The new vehicle was seen out on a public road in Arizona this week by a Corvette fan who posted two short videos on YouTube after he spotted two versions of the Stingray.
As you can see in the first video, the model shown is dark blue, where as Chevrolet revealed red and gray versions of the vehicle at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. The model shown in the second is black.
No word has been revealed why Chevrolet chose not to showcase all four colors at the 2013 NAIAS, as they probably figured people would be satisfied with just two versions of the new Corvette.

"The all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray is the most advanced and engaging Corvette in the long, prestigious legacy of this uniquely American success story," said Chris Perry vice president of Chevrolet Marketing in a company press release. "It is a car woven into the fabric of American culture and it got its start right here in the Big Apple."
The new Corvette will be on sale during the third quarter of 2013.
