Microsoft has been going all out with their Surface since Christmas of last year. Once again, more Surface Pro and Surface book models are on sale again.
Surface Sale. As reported by Thurrott, the Redmond-based tech giant is having one of its biggest sales ever, nearly matching its lowest-ever holiday prices. The biggest news is the entry-level Surface Book is now just $1,299. This is $200 off the normal price and nearly matches its 2016 holiday sale.
There are other Surface devices on sale also until February 25. These cover both Surface Books and Surface Pro 4 devices. Previously, only 1 unit was reported to be on sale. Based on the listing from their online store, the Surface Book with Intel Core i5, 8 GB, dGPU (first-gen), and 256 GB of storage is priced at $1,649. It is $250 off.
Surface Pro 4. The Surface Pro 4 with Intel Core m3, 4 GB, and 128 GB of storage is priced at $699 ($200 off). This is the same price for a unit with and without a Surface Pen ($100 off for no Surface Pen). The Intel Core i5 with 8 GB and 256 GB of storage is $1,049 ($150 off).
Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The constant sales offered by the Redmond-based tech giant is most likely because the latest 2-in-1 device, the Surface Pro 5, is set to be released in Spring. It boasts even more impressive specs.
Previously, it was reported that the Surface Pro 4 was way ahead of the Apple iPad Pro. The comparison was made based on the devices' display and accessories support, OS and specs, price, and overall appeal. Several users commented that the two devices simply cannot compare as one is a full-blown notebook while the other is merely a tablet.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released in spring and there will definitely be more sales before then. How low will the Surface devices go? Will you buy one of the older units or will you wait for the latest model? Additionally, will the latest Surface Pro 5 be able to come close to dethroning Apple's MacBook Pro?
