Dodge will be released new Blacktop packages to help complete its lineup of "factory-customized" family models, released at an affordable price.
The company plans on releasing a number of different Blacktop models, including a Durango seven-seat SUV, a Dodge Grand Caravan minivan, and a Journey mid-size crossover. Previously announced vehicles include the Avenger, Challenger, and Charger according to a Dodge press release issued this week.

The Blacktop packages are special because allows customers the chance to build a sporty, more distinctive look for a select number of vehicles. Most packages include unique Gloss Black wheels, grilles, darkened headlamp bezels, darker exterior paint colors, and Blacktop interior features.
"Our Blacktop packages have been so well received on Charger, Challenger and Avenger that we're expanding it to our innovative Grand Caravan, Journey and Durango," said Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Dodge Brand in a company press release. "All three of these Blacktop vehicles offer class-leading attributes with seating for up to seven and a customized one-of-a-kind appearance package starting at just $295 MSRP."
The Durango Blacktop will be the first one to be released at dealerships sometime in the first quarter of 2013 according to Dodge. The Caravan and Journey are expected to be released during the second quarter.
Dodge Durango Blacktop
The Rallye and R/T will come available with the Blacktop package option, which will include Gloss Black 20-inch aluminum wheels, and Gloss Black center caps. Exterior paint options will include Bright White, Brilliant Black, and Redline Red, among others.
The vehicle comes equipped with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that can deliver 295 horsepower on Rallye vehicles. The optional Hemi V-8 engine offers a best-in-class 360 horsepower with 390 pounds.-feet of torque according to Dodge.
The Durango features over 45 safety and security features, and was named an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick.
Dodge Journey Blacktop
Exterior enhancements for the Blacktop edition includes 19-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels and center caps, a Gloss Black grille, Gloss Black bezel headlamps and lower front fascia accent.
The Journey comes with a number of different options, including either a four-cylinder or V-6 engine, five or seven-passenger seating, and wither front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Exterior color options include Bright Silver, Bright Red, Pearl White, and Storm Grey to name a few.
The Journey has been named an IIHS Top Safety Pick for four straight years, and comes equipped with Uconnect Touch infotainment system according to Dodge.
Dodge Grand Caravan Blacktop
The Blacktop package will be available for the Grand Caravan SXT models which will add Gloss Black 17-inch aluminum wheels, grille, headlamp bezels, and fog lamps.
The vehicle will come in an all-black interior according to Dodge.
The vehicle will be available in either Billet Silver, Brilliant Black, Redline Red to name a few. Dodge advertises the vehicle as the "best-selling and most awarded minivan ever" and was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick this past year mainly due to its 45 safety, security and technology features.
