Jeep has evolved much of its designs and features from its former World War II versions into the most current models. Dominating the 4x4 range is the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and car enthusiasts find the new Land Rover Discovery Sport to be next in line. Here are some comparisons on the two brands.
ENGINE. The 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited sports a 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine while the Land Rover Discovery Sport has an SD4 diesel engine. The former's engine can generate 197.2 Bhp while the latter's can do only 187.7 Bhp.
INTERIORS. The Wrangler Unlimited's interior can be maintained easier as it has a wash-out interior with drain plugs, unlike the Discovery Sport. In terms of space, the latter is considered to have more space as it can be transformed to have seats for seven people while the former can only sit five passengers. In totality, both brands have outstanding interiors and exteriors in their own ways.
FEATURES. Both brands offer similar beneficial features, but in varying methods reflecting their uniqueness. The two jeeps have multi-function steering wheel, climate control, remote fuel lid opener and air quality control.
Furthermore, the Jeep Wrangler boasts of its remote controlled audio system, heated front seats, voice control and the removable convertible top. On the other hand, the Discovery Sport has a moon roof, rear lumbar support, DVD players and the start/stop buttons for the engine.

SIZE. The 2017 Jeep Wrangler seems to dominate this aspect. It provides 890 liters of cargo capacity while the Discovery Sport only offers 280 liters, Firstpost has noted.
OFF-ROAD. The Land Rover Discovery offers low-range gearing through its four-wheel drive system. Partnered with Terrain Response 2, the system enables the driver to make a spin, throttle, and choose optimum transmission.
On the other hand, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler features two options of low-range four-wheel drive systems. The Jeep also sports skid plates, tow hooks, knobby tires, accessory rock rails, a range of shock options, a Mopar winch, and electronically locking front and rear differentials, Slashgear reported.
