All-New 760 HP Quant 48Volt Concept: The Most Efficient Supercar Money Can't Buy

German startup NanoFlowcell will be making its comeback to the Geneva Auto Show this coming March to launch its all-new concept car named Quant 48Volt. Like the company's prior manifestations, the prototype is controlled by a zero-emission drivetrain that depends on salt to generate the power expected to turn the wheels.

Similar to many concepts before it including the regularly forgotten Koenigsegg Quant, the Quant 48Volt will highlight an electric drive controlled by a fuel-cell technology. But unlike its less-powerful siblings, the car will come pre-stacked with 760 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Meaning, it will have the capacity to sprint to 62 miles per hour in only 2.4 seconds and proceed to a limited top speed of 186 mph.

Meanwhile, the amazing performance of the car is due to the highly enhanced cell layer and six cells arranged together in a series. The new low-voltage engines can convey sports car performance while returning impressive range at the same time.

Furthermore, the brand-new concept car is said to have a range of up to 621 miles, which definitely would make it more effective than both the Quant E and Quant F and more powerful too. Additionally, the company says that it will have extravagant bodywork that underscores its one of a kind standing of the flow cell super sports car.

The vehicle's design, finished with tanks for positive and negative fluid electrolytes, allows 40 gallons of liquid and a full-tank range of more than 600 miles. More amazing on the green front is that the company estimates the fluid to cost not as much as a nickel for each gallon. As of the moment, the company didn't disclose any information about the car's price and expected on-sale-date.

NanoFlowcell was choosing a model named as Quant F way back in the fall of 2015, saying that the gull-winged beast can produce more than 1,000 torque. At the time, the company also announced that it is planning to build a Switzerland plant that would begin manufacturing vehicles in 2018, which for sure is coming up pretty soon.  The all-new Quant 48Volt will appear from March 7-19 at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
