According to CNET, the 2017 Kia Soul made very few and small changes in terms of efficiency, style, and features. However, these little changes make the Soul a little bit more appealing that it already was. The car makes for a unique ride with its exterior. It is nothing like anything of its kind in the market.
The most major update for the latest Soul is the inclusion of a better and more powerful engine. There top-trim Turbo model comes complete with a 201-horsepower turbocharged engine.
One of the updates on latest Soul lineup, the Kia Soul's Base, Plus, and Exclaim get new wheel designs and a slight visual change. These trims get a new headlight and bumper designs. However, the look is considered subtle which makes it rather challenging to spot. Given this, most Kia Soul fans seem to don't mind at all.

The 2017 Kia Soul also comes with latest generation UVO3 dashboard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Everything can be accessed and manipulated through the 7 or 8-inch touchscreen depending on the option.
The 2017 Kia Soul may not have gone through major facelift compared to some of its competitors but Kia prefers it to be that way. They are banking on the uniqueness of the vehicle which makes it a standout on its own.
As added by Car and Driver, the red exterior accent lines are evocative of GTI's aesthetic, the flat-bottomed steering wheel makes it appear to be sporty and ooze more masculine appeal. To make it have more of an athletic appeal is its 18-inch wheels. The 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four which makes 201-horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque are not bad at all.
It is known the loyal fans of 2017 Kia Soul are those that are value-oriented. It remains to be a good choice for its attractiveness, practicality, and uniqueness because of its boxy exterior regardless of any trim level.
