Blood apparently thought he was in driving into a parking lot, but it was really the lawn of the Wilson House which was constructed in 1852. The 14-room country hotel was renovated in 1987 and added in 1995 to the National Register of Historic Places according to the Wilson House website.

The hotel is reportedly the largest building in East Dorset, Vermont.

Bill Wilson, the co-founder of AA was named on Time Magazine's 100 Most Important People of the Century list in 1999 for his work in helping individuals achieve and sustain sobriety.

The house is located around 45 minutes north of New York City and also acts as a museum that attracts thousands of guests every year according to the house website.  The house is now essentially a living memorial to Wilson.

The Wilson House's website describes the location as a "place of sanctuary where people can come to give thanks to God for their new lives."

The house still hosts several weekly AA meetings according to the report.
