Honolulu will reportedly have the highest car rental rates this holiday season according to a survey released on CheapCarRental.net.
Honolulu's average daily rate according to the study is $106 per day, which is 112 percent higher than customers would pay any other time during the year.

The top 10 locations that have experienced the largest increase this holiday season includes:

Miami commuters will pay triple the normal rate between Dec. 22 and Dec. 27 according to the study. The average cost per day for travelers looking to commute in Miami will be $84, compared to $24 any other time of the year.
Miami's percentage rate was the largest increase during this holiday season, rising approximately 250 percent.
"To rent the cheapest available car in Miami over the Christmas timeframe, renters can currently expect to shell out $84 per day," according to the survey. "That price tag represents a whopping $250% elevation over the usual rental rate of $24 per day."
