A Plano, TX police officer reportedly placed an $100 bill with a traffic ticket he issued for an expired registration sticker after pulling over a man who is simply struggling to pay his bills.
Hayden Carlo, 25, was pulled over last week for the expired registration sticker, and when he was asked why he hadn't renewed the sticker yet, he had no excuse.
"I said there's no explanation for why I haven't done it, except I don't have the money," said Carlo to CBS. "You get paid, pay your bills, and there's your money. It's gone. It was either feed my kids or get my registration done."
The officer, who has wished to remain anonymous, only issued Carlo a citation for the expired sticker, but that wasn't all. After rolling up his window, Carlo noticed a gift from the officer wrapped with the ticket.
"I opened it up and there's a $100 bill," said Carlo to CBS. "I broke down in my car what else could I do?"

With the money given to him by the officer, Plano, a father of two, was able to renew his registration for his car and for his wife's vehicle.
The officer hadn't told anyone about the $100 gift, but Carlo's grandfather was so moved by the officer's act that he wrote a letter to the department. Despite not wanting to be recognized, his coworkers are planning on honoring him anyway.
"He helped me out when I needed it and I appreciate that. I'll never forget that man," Carlo said to CBS. "It definitely restored my faith in God."
