Google has officially announced that it will be launching its new pair of smartwatches along with its Android Wear 2.0 in early February. The all new LG Watch Style will have a price tag of $249, which is a lot more cheaper compared to the first-generation smartwatches such as the Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Gear. In addition, the Korean company has also announced that it's working on another smartwatch named Watch Sport.

An image leak from Evan Blass' Twitter post showed the four different angles of the smartwatches including two from the front and two from the back. Other images of the two new LG wearables appeared on the web last week but the images were very blurry and revealed only a few details. The new images showed that same device but it seems to have a high-resolution rendered.

The LG Watch Style model will have a 1.2-inch 360p x 360p display, 512 MB of RAM, and 240 mAh battery while the Watch Sport will is alleged to have a 1.38-inch 480p x 480x display, 768 MB of RAM, and 430 mAh battery. According to Android Police reports, the Style model might have a higher price point with different kinds of add-ons and colors. The smartwatch could include bands and casings.

The issue also makes the price of the Watch Sport questionable. With its additional features such as long-term evolution (LTE), near field communication (NFC), GPS, and a larger high-resolution display that could add about $100 on the price tag. The LG Urbane 2nd Edition had the same technical specifications and was priced at $360 on AT&T.

Furthermore, Google announced last year that the Android Wear 2.0 will be a big update to the wearable platform released in 2014. It was set to lunch for 2016, but Google delayed the launched until the first quarter of this year due to hardware or software issues.

Android Headline reported that Google already has confirmed that it will launch the wearable OS sometime in February. Some reports suggest that it will be launch on Feb. 9, which is less than two weeks away. LG's Watch Style and Watch Sport would also be announced then.
