As the 10th anniversary for the iPhone series gets near, more speculations are coming out for the latest updates of the lineup. The new handset is rumored to debut with the name iPhone X and some concept designs have already circulated.
Sources from the supply chain of Apple teased that the upcoming iPhone variant to come out this year is likely to be named iPhone X. As the world expects the iPhone 8 to follow the current iPhone 7, the Cupertino-based company will allegedly drop the anticipated "8" from the series to carry the new "X."

Forbes notes that the sudden change in the name of the brand may account for the three-year cycle of the handset. In addition, the latest upgrade on the hardware and technology requires a new name for the device, which seems to target the high-end users.
However, the publication also speculates that the "iPhone X" might just be a code name. Apple possibly has not come to a final decision yet on what name to label the new phone so the supply chain only knew about the alleged code name.
Meanwhile, various design concepts have also surfaced for the anticipated 10th anniversary iPhone. The latest design from Imran Taylor is now being feasted on in the rumors mill. The concept was mainly based on major rumors about the upcoming device where it seems to have similarities with the previous iPhone 4 concept.
Taylor's design features a slim body of stainless steel is connected to tapered glass edges. The front and back has the latest liquid metal frame. It also sports the latest Gorilla Glass and a 5.8-inch OLED display.
There is a Touch ID integrated on the display while a second touch sensitive display can be spotted on the lower bezel. This bezel display serves as a quick access to notifications once the screen is turned off.
Selfie addicts will most likely enjoy the 3D camera technology of the upcoming iPhone X. The new camera can take augmented reality photos and also comes with a 3D facial recognition feature.
The new handset design was also shown in various color variants, Silver, Gunmetal Black, Gold and Rose Gold. You may check out the photos of this concept design for the upcoming iPhone X from Imran Taylor on this link.
