For the past week, Nintendo Switch has been the word of the tongue in every gaming community on the internet. It only sums up to how highly anticipated this hybrid console is. Today, series of headlines highlighting the good and the bad for Nintendo Switch surfaced the internet.
New Launch Game. I am Setsuna, an RPG game is confirmed to join Nintendo Switch on March 3. The new launch game is the first from Square Enix's bracket joining the seven other games Nintendo Switch has confirmed.
Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, assured that more games are joining Nintendo Switch on its release. Fils-Aime stated on a report from Gamestop, the Switch's list of releases are "not the be-all and the end-all."
Price Changes and Pre-ordering. Recently, UK considers to lower down the price of game titles for Nintendo Switch. The console stays at its original suggested retail price, but game titles might drop to £10 - £20 less. This report is based on the recommended retail price provided by Nintendo in the UK. There is no announcement yet from Nintendo of America if a possible price drop will apply. So far, price per item sticks to the $50 - $60 launch price.
In other news, Walmart announced to close down Nintendo Switch pre-orders. It has been announced by the retail store that they will stop pre-ordering the console last Friday. But due to the amazing sales it reached, the store considered extending until today. There is no confirmation whether Walmart closed pre-ordering due to stocks limitations.
As reported previously, retailers such as Gamestop, Amazon, Game Collection, and much more has also declined additional pre-orders. This is because Nintendo has again failed to anticipate the demand for the console considering it's in its early stages.
