Ford revealed today that they sold almost 27,000 small car vehicles in November, which is a 76 percent increase compared to this time last year according to a company press release. This is Ford's strongest November small car sales number in close to 12 years.
C-Max Hybrid vehicles were one of the main reasons the company saw such a high sales increase for November as over 4,848 C-Max vehicles were sold last month. This equals a 52 percent increase compared to the number of C-Max vehicles sold in October.

"November represented a strong month for the industry, and Ford sales performed well across the board," said Ken Czubay, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service in a company press release. "We saw sharp increases in demand for Ford's fuel-efficient small cars, our best-ever month for electrified vehicles and growing demand for our fuel-efficient and capable F-Series pickups."
Sales numbers for the new C-Max models were up 56 percent compared to Nov. 2011, and sales for the Ford F-Series went up 18 percent. Around 56, 299 F-Series vehicles were sold in November. The F-Series is advertised by Ford as "America's bestselling vehicle" and for good reason. The F-Series has had 16 straight months of "year-over-year sales increases" according to Ford and is easily the company's top selling vehicle currently available.
The company also saw an increase in sales for vehicles like the Ford Focus, Fiesta models as well.
The total number of vehicles sold in November was 177,673 which puts the company's retail sales number up 12 percent compared to 2011.
This past weekend Ford revealed its first-quarter plan for 2013, stating they will build and release over 750,000 vehicles to Ford dealerships around the world. This is up 11 percent from Ford's 2012's first-quarter number when the company produced and sold 73,000 vehicles.
