Sony’s Xperia Z3+ and Z3+ Dual are among those that are now being updated to carry the latest Android software. Ever since the latest Android 7.0 Nougat was released by Google, virtually all Android phone users wanted to have it installed on their phones.
Android Headlines reported that the Nougat software for installation on both Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3+ will be the same update 32.3.A.0.372 used in the Sony Xperia Z5. The Sony Experia Z4 in other countries which is actually the same as the Xperia Z3+ is also included in the Android Nougat 7.0 Nougat update.
A few features of the Android Nougat 7.0 software might not be fully operational in the updated phones since the software is originally intended for the high-end Xperia Z5 model. Some users claim that the manual controls for the camera are not installed.
The new lockscreen and the X-series icons intended for the Sony Xperia Z5 will not be featured on the Xperia Z3 and A3+ phones but all the other features of the Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to be usable. The new Sony Xperia Z5 integrates Google Now in the Xperia Home app, including the latest front camera controls, optimized performance mode and battery life extension.
Once the Nougat update on their phones are made, users can expect the advantages that the Nougat software offers, like the fast settings set-up, multi-window structure, and the new System UI tuner that provides the latest phone settings controls. So far, no repercussions and no overheating issues that were addressed in the past have been reported by users. The Nougat update for Xperia Z3 and Z3+ includes the December Google Security Patch and users are advised to watch for the January update which has not yet been released.
There has been no announcement regarding the inclusion of local Sony Z4 variants and carrier versions of the other Sony phones in the Nougat update. Only the Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3+ have been confirmed to be updated with Android 7.0 Nougat software.
