Electric vehicles are the new future as Chevrolet's all-electric compact vehicle will hit stores nationwide beginning the third quarter of this year. GM finally rolled a solid timeline for when the Chevrolet Bolt will be available for specific states.
According to the rolled out schedule, all 50 states will receive the Bolt EV by September 2016. Check out the retweeted post by @ChevyBoltNews which reads: "Chevy Bolt EV, when to order and delivery schedule, state by state."

The months specified in the first column in the rolled out Chevrolet Bolt distribution plan indicate when the electric vehicles can be ordered. It follows that the second column showcases when the cars will physically be available. However, Chevrolet did indicate in the rollout plan that the timing is only approximate and it should only be used as a guide.
GM's schedule corresponds to the previously announced 2-week shutdown of the Orion facility. The Bolt EVs are particularly produced in the Orion assembly plant. This indicates that the Chevrolet Bolt EVs that will be distributed statewide are 2018 models.
Just before 2017 ended, the first batch of Chevrolet Bolt EV started rolling out in Silicon Valley, California, per GreenCarReports. Oregon soon followed suit with the Bolts recently arriving in the state.
Massachusetts, Maryland, and Virginia were the states scheduled to receive the EV from December 2016 until February 2017, according to HybridCars. Then, dealers from New Jersey and New York can begin placing orders this month. They should expect the delivery by March.
The Chevrolet Bolt EV is notable for going a staggering 230 miles without the need to recharge. This is a far stretch compared with Tesla's electric vehicles. In fact, last November, the 2017 model of Chevy's EV won the Green Car Reports 2017 Best Car To Buy award.
In other automotive news, Tesla's Model 3 will be launched as early as the end of this year. This is Chevrolet Bolt's biggest competition in terms of electric vehicles to date.
