More than 750 cars welcomed the car enthusiasts at the recently opened North American International Auto Show held at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan. Here are some highlights of the auto show.
Various autonomous vehicles were launched in the festive car show. Ford flaunted its new self-driving car named Fusion. The car manufacturer also introduced the GT's latest digital instrument cluster, which they plan to feature in their array of less expensive models. In addition, Volvo also showed off their autonomous XC 90, while Waymo, from Google, displayed its driverless vehicle, Chrysler Pacifica.

Nissan's latest offer, Vmotion 2.0 also took center stage in the auto show. According to The Verge, the Vmotion 2.0 looks sassy with its pointy edges and exquisite doors but cannot surpass the Jetsons vehicles in the recently concluded Consumer Electronic Show.
In another report, Chevrolet took the limelight with the display of its giant Lego Batmobile. Inspired by the Speedwagon of Batman in "The Lego Batman Movie," Chevrolet created the 17-feet long Lego Batmobile which will also be the highlight in their upcoming "Real People, Not Actors" campaign.
The company used a total of 344,187 LEGO bricks to complete the 1,695.5-pound Lego Batmobile. It consumed a total of 222 hours for the design stage alone, plus 1,833 hours to build the mobile.
U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing Paul Edwards described their partnership with Warner Bros. in creating the Lego Batmobile as "an absolute thrill" for them. Edwards also emphasized that their company's values align with the themes of "The Lego Batman Movie" such as family, imagination and community, Clickondetroit reported.
Meanwhile, The Verge has posted several snap shots of the featured cars and highlights of the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. The show will be opened to the public until Jan. 22. You may check out the images on this link before you head out to the Cobo Center.
