Ford Is Scrapping Their Mexico Plant And Rather Invest In America

During the recent 2017 Automotive News World Congress in Detroit, President of the Ford Motor Company, Joe Hinrichs has found the policies of Trump administration to be a good business and has envisioned high truck sales if the new administration will do a good job on its promise of large scale investment for infrastructure. Donald Trump's strong and positive bond to infrastructure is good in some industry that depends on transportation.

Ford F-Series is celebrating this year for its 40 consecutive numbers of years as the United State's best-selling pickup and best-selling vehicle in the country for 35 years. For its 2016 total sales, it reached over 820,000 units as recorded which is the best truck's sale since 2005 and it could be more this year.

According to Mr. Hinrichs, "If the infrastructure investment in the United States takes off as part of the conversation with the new administration that certainly could help the industry and the business." He also hoped that in one day he could note Ford's F-150 to exceed a million units in a year. The most profitable part of Ford's business is their trucks.

Due to the success sales of the Ford's F-150 just last year, the company is expecting their 2016 pre-tax profit to reach an estimated total of $10.2 billion. During 2015, the company reached its peak in sales and has made $10.8 billion. Meanwhile, the SUV product line-up will increase in the end of the decade. Just earlier this week, Ford also said that there is resuscitate for Bronco SUV as one of the new five vehicles that the company plans to launch in the market by 2020. Ford also said that they want to claim the title for sole U.S. sales.
