Phoenix Police are reporting a woman drove with her small child in the backseat of the car into a Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport gate late Thursday night. She then reportedly drove her car on to the runway before police officers forced the car to come to a stop.
Sergeant Trent Crump said the woman rammed into the gate at approximately 10 p.m. and was quickly escorted from the airport and charged with aggravated DUI and criminal damage according to CBS NEWS which also posted the mug shot online. Both the driver and the child were not injured.
The woman was identified as Koko Nicole Anderson in the police report and said she was not aware of her location and didn't know her son was in the car during the ordeal. Early reports have indicated she was under the influence of alcohol and possibly other substances like drugs according to Crump, but they could not confirm anything yet as of Friday morning.

"We don't believe her intent was to harm here," Crump said to Associated Press. "We believe it's impairment and poor decision making."
Deborah Ostreicher, a Sky Harbor spokeswoman said to CBS News that airport operations worker was testing the gate when Anderson drove her car right through it. The worker then noticed the car and quickly called police and the control tower unit to order all planes to stop operations while the vehicle was on the runway.
"The important thing to know here is that what was supposed to happen happened," Ostreicher said to the Associated Press.
Police officers were able to get the car to stop by using their vehicles to spin the car around until the vehicle was forced to come to a halt. No aircrafts were scheduled to take off or land at the time the car made its way onto the runway according to Ostreicher, but the operations were stopped completely for around 15 minutes.
