Toyota's smallest hybrid car has been updated. The 2017 model of the Toyota Prius C now has new standard features along with cosmetic upgrades.
The 2017 Toyota Prius C. Toyota's 2017 Prius C sports a new front fascia, black rear spoiler, rear bumper, and side rocker panels. However, its headlights and taillights remain the same as the previous model. The new Prius C comes in 3 colors namely Tangerine Splash Pearl, Absolutely Red, and Blue Streak Metallic. In addition, it comes in 4 variants: One, Two, Three and Four.
Toyota has traded in steel wheels for 15-inch alloy wheels on the new Prius C. 16-inch alloy wheels in P195/50R16 tires are optional on the Prius C Four.
The inside of the 2017 Toyota Prius C looks as sporty as the outside. The interior features piano black chrome accents as well as soft-touch upgraded accents. It has two-tone fabric-trimmed seats. The driver's seat in particular can be adjusted six ways. The rear seats, on the other hand, can be split folded down for more space. The 2017 Prius C offers a luggage capacity of 484 liters and has more legroom than the previous model.
Another brand new standard feature on the 2017 Toyota Prius C is the Safety Sense C Package. It includes automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, and lane-departure alert.
Prius C One comes with an Entune audio system with a 6.1 inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth hands-free capability, AM/FM radio and CD player, standard auxiliary audio jack, four-speaker sound system, and an iPod-compatible USB 2.0 port. Additional features are available for higher Prius C models such as cruise control, integrated back-up camera, and a power sliding moonroof.
The 2017 Prius C features a 1.5 liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine with 99 horsepower. Its fuel economy has a rating of 48 miles per gallon in city driving and 43 on the highway. It is currently unknown how much the 2017 Prius C will retail when it is available for buyers.
