The 2018 Jaguar E-Pace was spotted rolling with its definitive production body for the first time. Jaguar's first 100% electric car is said to debut in Summer following the official debut of the Range Rover Coupe at the Geneva Motor Show. However, it will not reach dealers until the end of this year or early 2018.
The Jaguar E-pace has been hunted down on numerous occasions in recent months. Finally, spy photographers had captured the car testing on cold weather and these new spy photos reveal important details, including info on the SUV sporting a camouflage production body, according to AutoCar.
In these new spy photos of the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace, specific details like its shape and profile were highlighted. Besides the evident and characteristic vinyl, one will see other pieces located in the front and rear. Jaguar seeks to offer a breakthrough appearance combining elements that convey performance, innovation, and style which explains the E-Pace's design.
Although its name claims that the E-Pace will be an electric version of Jaguar's large SUV, the F-Pace; it seems it will be a compact SUV which will be more oriented for use in the city. Because of its size, the E-Pace will rival the BMW X1 or Audi Q3, according to CarScoops.
No information on the mechanical section, possible power or autonomy has been revealed yet. But it is reported that the E-Pace would be based on the D8 platform used by the Land Rover Discovery Sport.
When will it hit the market? As mentioned at the beginning of the article, the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace was teased during the last Los Angeles 2016 with the prototype I-Pace. In that presentation, Jaguar confirmed that it will debut its production version this year, probably in the summer, but will not arrive in dealerships until the end of 2017 or early 2018.
