Audi reveals its new SUV "Audi Q8 Concept," which is pulling the crowds at 2017 Detroit Auto Show. This new vehicle of Audi's style is quite similar to its previous version Audi Q7 but a little bit lower with 4 mm of Q7's height.
The Q8 Concept remains some essential specifications of its previous Q7 model. It is still five meters long with a wheelbase of three meters and with four seats, but some consumer was expecting that the new Q8 Concept will have five seats to have the capability to load more compare from its previous version.
Audi Q8 Concept is powered by 3.0 Turbocharged fuel stratified Injection (TFSI) engine which combined 438 hp and 700 Nm of torque with 23-inch in diameter alloy wheels that has carbon-ceramic brakes and an electric motor which also powered by a lithium-ion battery with 17.9kWh. It still remains the high-performance turbo from SQ7 Concept that has 4.0-litre bi-turbo Version 8 diesel developing 429 hp.
In the interior, Q8 Concept has Virtual Cockpit Display with higher resolution and offers more functionality with new control idea which replaces the function buttons with its dashboard's digital touch screen. It has a modern style of the cabin but it has no third-row seat as a center rear seat.
It uses Audi's matrix laser technology which gives the capability to project light beam with millions of pixels of LED that offers better quality for the daytime driving lights. The new concept car also features its aluminum bordered air ducts within the lower section of its front bumper with splitter element to help the air directly flows into the engine.
It delivers three interesting driving modes such as Hybrid, EV and Audi's Battery Hold that will allow its driver to select an option that will also depend on vehicle's condition. Based on the Australia's market in 2018, Audi Q8 Concept cost will start over $110,000 which can be considered as quite expensive compared to others. Q8 Concept is the upgraded version of Q7 and both versions are quite similar from Q7 Concept. Audi's company made this idea to remain the outstanding signature style of their Q series.
