Asus previously launched two new smartphones at CES 2017, one being the Zenfone AR, and the other as Zenfone 3 Zoom. Asus now unveils yet another addition to the Zenfone series.
Asus has launched its most recent Pegasus series smartphone in China, which is named as Zenfone Pegasus 3S. Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3S is said to be an upgraded version of Zenfone Pegasus 3, which was launched last June 2016.
Like other mid-range smart phones, the Zenfone Pegasus 3S supports all the latest connectivity standards, including Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor. The original Pegasus had a 4,100mAh battery but the follow-up does it better with a bigger 5,000mAh non-removable battery.
The Zenfone Pegasus 3S has an all-metal body design. It features a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display with resolution of 720×1280 pixels, which is probably identical to the previous Pegasus.
Asus is known for its camera quality as well, the company has always been focused on providing the best camera facility, the reason why Zenfone Pegasus 3S is packed with PixelMaster technology, which offers smart shooting capability. In terms of camera set-up, the device bears a 13-megapixel rear camera along f/2.0 aperture and capability on Phase Detection Autofocus, whereas it comes with an 8-megapixel front camera.
The device is powered by MediaTek MT6750 chipset with 64-bit octa-core processor ticking at 1.5 GHz. It comes with 3GB of RAM and two options of internal storage, 32GB and 64GB, which is expandable up-to 2TB via microSD card.
There are two highlights for the device, the OS and the battery. Zenfone Pegasus 3S comes running with the latest Android Nougat 7.0 and sporting a bigger battery.
Surely, it looks like another low-end smartphone, but Asus so loved its customers that it never fails to give them the best value for money. The device will be available at different markets, and price will go around $290.
