Election Results: Voters Having Glitch Issues When Trying To Vote In Certain States (VIDEO)

Deciding who to vote for is usually a long, drawn-out process for most as there are so many different aspects to consider before submitting your decision on Election Day. Hopefully before you reach the poll you have a good idea on who you will vote for in the categories that will appear on your electronic or paper ballot.

For some however, the biggest issue when trying to cast a vote has been the actual ballot itself.

Yahoo is reporting that The Election Protection coalition has stated a great number of scanning issues have occurred in areas all around the U.S. Videos have been making their way onto the internet as well showing some of the glitch issues people have been having when trying to vote.

"I initially selected Obama but Romney was highlighted," writes Centralpavote on YouTube, of the glitch in central Pennsylvania. "I assumed it was being picky so I de-selected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney."

As you can see in the video, the man clicks the option for President Barack Obama but it is automatically changed to the Mitt Romney option. He does it multiple times to truly show the issue with the electronic ballot. After a few more taps, he discovers that the only way for the box to remain lit on option for Obama is to click a small portion of the box of the screen.

This was the only issue occurring with the ballot as he had no problems with any of the other candidates. The man reported that volunteers didn't seem too considered when he brought the issue up with them saying that there was "nothing to worry about and it would be okay."

The opposite problem is occurring in states like North Carolina, Ohio, and Kansas where people will click to vote for Mitt Romney but the option for Obama gets highlighted instead. A voter told The Marion Star that it took her over three tries for the poll to get the correct option to light up.

"You want to vote for who you want to vote for, and when you can't it's irritating," said Joan Stevens to the newspaper.

She also reported the issue but there was no sense of urgency from the volunteers working the machines.

Some machines being used on Election Day are 10 years or older in some locations, which could be causing the issues so many people have been dealing with throughout the day. Other minor issues that have been reported include an election worker who was fired for writing in Republican candidate names where people left sections blank.
