Newcomer 2017 Nissan Qashqai, also known as Nissan Rogue Sport, made its auto show debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, USA. The Qashqai/Rogue shared the stage with a new Nissan sedan concept Vmotion 2.0. The two vehicles were presented by José Muñoz and Shiro Nakamura, the top heads at Nissan.
Bert Brooks, Senior manager for Product Planning at Nissan Canada Inc, says that the new Qashqai is an awesome "complement" to the current lineup of Nissan Crossover Utility Vehicles. Brooks also added that while the Nissan Rogue has been a huge success, the new Nissan Qashqai will probably appeal to young owners, couples or new families.
2017 Nissan Qashqai VS Nissan Rogue: Smaller Is Better
The 2017 Qashqai also provides the need for couples or singles that want the versatility and space of a CUV but also want a smaller body for city driving and maneuverability, just like one would observe from a passenger car. Nissan Qashqai 2017 has a wheelbase that is 2.3 inches shorter and its overall length is an inch shorter compared to the 2017 Nissan Rogue. These may seem to be minor differences but reports say that smaller CUVs are in demand for millennials and urban dwellers who want more maneuverability in cruising the crowded city streets.
