It is already 2017 but Nintendo has not issued any official statement on their newest gaming console's price and release date. Online retailers, however, have accidentally leaked out information on the Nintendo Switch.
Online Retailers leak the Nintendo Switch retail price and release date. Back in November, a Canadian branch of Toys R' Us accidentally published an online advertisement which listed the Nintendo Switch's price at US$245 which was immediately removed. Just this week, UK retailer GameSeek listed the Nintendo Switch for pre-order with the price still at US$245. Aside from the price leak, GameSeek placed the release date of order on March 17.
It is difficult to let this leaked information on the Nintendo Switch's price pass off as just speculation as both listings, though just one month apart, put the price at US$245. In addition, GameSeek's pre-order listing guarantees buyers the lower price if the game should be release with a higher price.
More details on the Nintendo Switch are to be revealed at the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 on January 12 which is scheduled at 11:00 PM Eastern Time. The GameSeek price and release date leak came just a few days before the scheduled presentation which is fuelling speculations that the gaming console's price and the release date could change by then.
Other speculated details surrounding the Nintendo Switch include non-removable battery packs, Bluetooth connectivity, and 5 GHZ Wi-Fi AC support. In addition, there have been speculations that the Nintendo Switch will be getting a third version of the Pokémon Sun and Moon and an all-new 3D Super Mario game. It has also speculated that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim game will be ported to the Nintendo Switch platform.
The Nintendo Switch was first revealed on the internet in October last year, teasing that more details would be revealed soon. Since its reveal, speculations on its specs, price, and release date have been quite abundant.
