Maruti Suzuki is known as the leading passenger vehicle which suddenly marks down its percentage growth with 4.4 percent in their domestic sales last December 2016. This is the first time that Maruti Suzuki registered negative percentage compared to previous years.
The Suzuki Company sold a total 117,908 units last December 2016 compared to the previous year record. Suzuki sold 119,149 vehicles during the same month which also includes 106,414 units in the domestic market and 11,494 units of exports which means Suzuki have lost 1,241 of sales base in year-on-year sales.
In the last month of September, Maruti Suzuki Indian or (MSI) sold 3,229 units out of 3,973which means that Suzuki gains worth 23 percent for this month with 744 units. MSI also had recently sold 44 units of its Super Carry models on the same month in the light commercial vehicle segment.
Some media reporter reached out to the Suzuki Company to ask for a statement on how it has impacted their sales. Unfortunately, Suzuki declined to give any comment or explanation. However, according to some sources from the company that Suzuki sales were flat last December and whatever marginal decline was hardly worth mentioning compared to what other company were facing.
Even if Suzuki did not gain additional increased percentage for the last month, the sales record remains in the good state. In fact, some of the investors were reportedly still satisfied with the Suzuki's last sales last performance.
Suzuki management plans for better ideas and solutions to solve this issue. This will include implementing innovation by adding new features to make it more attractive for the consumers. Suzuki has not given any estimated timeline of the said development yet, but the new version of Maruti Suzuki will be expected to release this year.
