John Bradley, the actor who plays Samwell Tarley, has unveiled that everything in "Game of Thrones" season 7 has been but a mystery to the cast members. However, recent filming photos that circulated the internet suggested that Jon Snow and Sam will finally reunite in the latter part of the upcoming season.
During an interview, John Bradley revealed that when he read the script for "Game of Thrones" season 7, he had felt that the scenes incorporated into the text could be impossible to film. However, he had predicted that the production team would be able to create a fantasy world of dragons, epic battles, and much-anticipated reunions all in seven episodes.
Per Movie Fone, the sequences would involve a transition towards the series' ending. Last seen in Oldtown with his family, the character Sam would possibly meet up with Jon Snow in Winterfell as the "Game of Thrones" season 7 trailer showed spoilers with respect to their outfits - geared up for snow. Since the scene showed that Sam was traveling with Gilly and her son, it suggested that as a Maester, Sam may play a significant role in the upcoming season of the show.
Bradley likewise mentioned that although they were oblivious to the plot and how it would play out towards the end, the mysteries of "Game of Thrones" suggested several possibilities about his character.
Furthermore, since the battle of Hardhome had been previewed, Daenerys was seen bringing her dragons to the South and meeting up with Jon Snow. The epic scenes Bradley was referring to may pertain to epic battles and untold mysteries that his character may have uncovered in the Citadel, reported Mobile and Apps.
When it was shown during "Game of Thrones" season 6 that the white ravens were released, it signified that winter has finally come and Sam may hold the mystery on how to defeat the White Walkers for good.
Also, director Matt Shakman was snapped on set while "Game of Thrones" season 7 was filming. Since it was revealed that he was to direct episode 4 and 5 of the series and one of the scenes involved Sam and Gilly leaving Oldtown, the source suggested that Jon Snow and Sam Tarley's reunion would occur in the latter half of the series.
"Game of Thrones" season 7 will conclude filming this coming February 2017 awaiting its summer 2017 release with just 7 episodes for the seventh installment.
