After over 30-years of marriage, one of Hollywood's most reliable couples is splitting up.
Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman announced today through their publicist that they are separating. The reason why they're splitting up hasn't been revealed yet.
The couple first got together when they were both searching for their big break in acting in the early 1960's. DeVito landed a supporting role as Louis DePalma on the TV show "Taxi", and shortly after that Perlman joined him as his on-screen girlfriend as well playing Zena Sherman.
Perlman then landed a regular role on the hit TV show "Cheers" as Carla Tortelli which she won four Emmy Awards for in the 80's and early 90's.
Before getting married in 1982, the couple lived together for 11 years, meaning the relationship lasted for over 40 years. The couple has three children together, 29-year-old Lucy, 27-year-old Grace, and 25-year-old Jacob.
DeVito's recent work includes voice work in Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax" this past year and co-starring in the hit FX television show " It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia " as Frank Reynolds.
The couple starred together many times including in They also founded a film company called Jersey Films production which has produced films such as "Pulp Fiction", "Man on the Moon", "Erin Brockovich" and "Garden State".
Reps for both DeVito and Perlman have stated that there would be no further public statement for the time being.
