Rumors are rife on the web that Apple is gearing up to introduce a brand new iPad Pro. Meanwhile, other reports suggest the Cupertino-based tech firm plans to update its iPad lineup for early next year.
The rumor mill has not ceased swirling speculations around Apple's much-lauded iPad range, hinting the new iPad will get rid of the Home button. Rumors teasing Apple's plan to oust the Home button from a slew of its devices have been running rampant for nearly a couple of years.
In line with this, a report from a reliable Japanese site Makotakara (via Pocket-Lint) claimed that a new 10.9-inch iPad is slated to hit the store shelves early next year; it will also follow the current 9.7-inch iPad Pro's footmark. The only difference? It will not feature the Home Button.
It's no secret that Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 runs today's show as far as the tablet segment is concerned. This is why, according to some tech pundits, news about an impending Apple iPad Air 3 surfaced online. Nonetheless, it was a welcome surprise for zealous Apple fanatics.
Meanwhile, rumors hinting that the Apple iPad Air 3 will mark the Air tablet lineup's termination are doing rounds as well. This speculation stems from previous reports that suggest Apple is considering the possibility of scrapping its Air brand, laptops, et al.
Apple iPad Air 3 Specs, Features & Release Date
Taking into consideration that the new iPad could be the company's last offering in its Air lineup, this tablet is likely to boast better specs. However, MacWorld reported that expecting specs to go any higher than what they already are is not reasonable --- simply because it is only a tablet. In other words, Apple's tablet specs have already reached the zenith, based on the duties a user would ideally attribute to a tablet.
As far as Apple iPad Air 3's release date is concerned, it is expected to arrive in March next year --- provided that Apple follows its release pattern.
