It looks like a character in one of Akira Toriyama's popular manga series is slated to bounce back in "Dragon Ball Super".
The hit Japanese anime announced the arrival of Arale from "Dr. Slump" in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super episode 69 entitled, "Goku vs. Arale! Hachamecha Battle de Chikyu ga Owaru?!", which translates to "Goku vs. Arale! A Nonsense Battle Will End the World?!", on its official website on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Arale Norimaki is a female android created by Senbei Norimaki. The main protagonist boasts of strength beyond imagination; however, she lacks common sense and has a reputation of being naive. She dons prescription glasses, owing to her nearsightedness. Apparently, Senbei is bent on convincing everyone in the Penguin Village that she is just a regular girl.
Mami Koyama, who played the role of Arale in the first Dr. Slump series, is all set to reiterate the role.
Dragon Ball Super episode 69 is likely to center on an event dubbed, "World Invention Award", where the world's best inventions are honored, according to AnimeNewsNetwork.
While Senbei Norimaki gets honored for his brilliance, Dr. Mashirito is frustrated that he was not even invited to the event and launches an attack; brace yourself: both Arale and Gatchan are at his side.
Interestingly, Bulma is one of the awarding event's attendants, which is being presented by Hercule. Goku, on the other hand, is employed here as a part-time security guard, Saiyan Island reported.
Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine published Dr. Slump from 1980 to 1984. Toei Animation produced an anime series encompassing 243 episodes as well, which went on-air from 1981 to 1986.
Arale has been previously spotted on a few episodes of "Dragon Ball", as well as some Dragon Ball video games and films. She also made a cameo appearance in Dragon Ball Super episode 43, which aired in May.
Scheduled to air on Nov. 27, Dragon Ball Super episode 68 is rumored to mark the end of the Future Trunks Saga arc. Meanwhile, Dragon Ball Super episode 69 will go on air on Dec. 4.
