The Pagani Huayra Roadster open-top version has now been spotted sporting a removable roof panel rather than an automated roof and its gullwing door gone. The much awaited Pagani is also confirmed to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March after its original debut supposedly at the Pebble Beach has been canceled due to more testing time needed and tough competition.
Pagani Huayra Roadster Spy Photos
After months of no sightings, the Huayra Roadster has been spotted by Instagram user just_supercars_ and posted two spy photos that reveal its distinct roof panel, vertical rear windshield, and an engine cover, according to Motor Authority.
Very few details are known about what will be mechanical of the Pagani Huayra Roadster convertible version. The most supported stakes claim that it will be mounted by a mechanical six-liter AMG V12, twin turbo and 720 hp. It is also expected that the Huayra Roadster take a good dose of carbon fiber in the body which together with the disappearance of the roof reinforce the chassis force if they want to keep intact benefits such as 231 km/h maximum acceleration.
Pagani Huayra Roadster Release Date
Pagani Huayra Roadster was said to debut at the Pebble Beach last August 21 but the event came and there was no trace of the Huayra roadster. As noted by Carbuzz, Pagani preferred not to attend the Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach in 2016 for fear that their precious convertible will not get enough attention compare to other new supercars that would debut in that same event such as the Lamborghini Centenario Roadster, which only 20 units will be manufactured.
Other models that have debuted at Pebble Beach and have attracted much attention have been the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, the Cadillac Scale Concept, the prototype Mercedes Maybach 6, Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato and Rimac Concept_One.
Now, new rumors say that the debut date will be at the Geneva Motor Show. But an insider at the Pagani says it will be before the event. "The Pagani Huayra Roadster will debut before the Geneva Motor Show," said Luca Venturi, Head Of Communication
The question now is which is the true debut date? We'll just have to wait and see.
