Ford resurrects one of its most in-demand SUVs to date. The Bronco is just one of its SUVs scheduled for release by end of 2017.
Ford has earlier announced that it will launch four SUVs next year, according to iTechpost. High anticipation rose from Bronco fans. They will not be disappointed. Bill Johnson, a UAW representative, has confirmed that the Bronco is indeed coming back. The last Ford Bronco was released last 1996.
The upcoming 2017 Ford Bronco release date can't avoid rivals. The Jeep Wrangler has recently announced updates. However, for Ford the only competition it recognizes is within its backyard. The Bronco is seen to compete with its brother the Escape. The Ford Escape is nothing but a re-branded European Kuga SUV.
The Ford Bronco has the Ford 5-150 as a reference for its comeback. However, there are rumors that it will most likely be based on the 2017 Ford Raptor.
The 2017 Ford Raptor is set to have an output of 450 hp and 510 lb-ft torque. However, it is expected to only have a 1.5 L turbo-charged inline 4 petrol engine. This is to make the target base price of $20,000 possible.
It is still possible to have a 2.7 L or 3.5 L engine. It would be the first diesel-powered engine, should Ford decide to head in that direction. The 2017 Ford Bronco release date had just been confirmed. Its key selling-point is obviously its performance and base price.
Everyone is hopeful Ford won't mess up this comeback. There have been other carmakers who have resurrected previous models only to have an early death.
Hence, there are no news yet as to whether the design will be tweaked. A more modern design perhaps won't hurt the upcoming 2017 Ford Bronco release date. The question now is whether will it be able to cover the loss, Ford recently suffered? Will this make up for the market-share taken by the Chevrolet Camarao over the Mustang?
