Hybrid + All Wheel Drive = Awesomeness
Internal company sources have leaked details of the 2018 Toyota Supra, the new generation of the well-beloved sports car was recently reported to feature a hybrid technology in close collaboration development with BMW and it will share with BMW Z5. It is also reported to have an all wheel drive that will absolutely add to its power and judging from the sound of the engine, it's probably going to be a six cylinder bi turbo mounted on both the Supra and the Z5. In terms of power, the Toyota Supra, is expected to reach 400 hp or even more.
Thanks to these leaked details together with recent spy photos taken when the Toyota Supra was rolling in Nurburgring, Jalopnik has made a recreation of its design, the most faithful the brand and awesome looking so far, and actually not very different from the Toyota FT-1 Concept that was anticipated.
FT-1 Concept Resemblance
With precise details filtered, Jalopnik believes that that the 2018 Toyota Supra is going to have a lot of resemblance with the FT-1 Concept. Of course, the front futuristic with the outgoing central zone will not be met, and the front bumper has two input jacks air instead of three, plus the front light clusters are more rectangular than expected, and will not be embedded inwards.
But the steepness of the pillar is met, and that no shots sideline admission is fulfilled in this recreation of the Toyota Supra. Large tires and very aggressive look, while maintaining the DNA of the legendary sports almost intact. And what's also interesting is that its design and BMW Z5 will be similar, although the German firm bet on a body roadster.
