'Dancing With The Stars' Season 23 has started with a bang. Sasha Farber literally got down on a knee and asked the magical question to Emma Slater. And, guess what, she said yes.
The professional dancers have been in a relationship for the last five years. They decided to live under the same roof this August. While Farber proposed for marriage in a dramatic fashion, Slater might have been half-waiting for it for some time.
It Was In The Cards
Earlier, when asked about their possible marriage, Slater said she was ready for it. In fact, she has apparently been giving hints to Farber through common friends.
"I've been hinting pretty heavily and if you tell all your girlfriends to go tell and him [that] I think I was ready for marriage now, then I think that's a pretty strong hint," the British dancer told FOX411. "He probably gets it."
The Dancing With The Stars Season 23 pro said she felt the marriage was around the corner.
It was not only Slater who was talking about the possibility of marriage. Even Farber was quite excited about it.
Farber gave a hint last week about a possible marriage proposal. He told ET Online that marriage was surely "in the cards." But, there is no time for the couple to go for it, he said.
"You never know. Maybe tomorrow or next week. Who knows?" the Russian-born Australian dancer said. Who knew he would actually go for it, that too on national television!
The Stage Was Set
The stage was set on October 4. The couple had their contemporary dance acts. Host Tom Bergeron left the floor for Farber.
Slater was apparently shocked to see her man go down on one knee. Farber said he was planning this for a long time. She had tears in her eyes when Farber asked if she would marry him. She nodded and said yes.
It was a magical night on Dancing With The Stars Season 23. If you missed the moment, here you go!
