The Lotus Evora 400 and Lotus Elise 250 were both featured at the Helthel test track this week. In commemoration of the brand's 50th anniversary on the track, the company surprised the audience with an anniversary edition of the Lotus Exige 350.
Special Edition Specs
As reported by Motor Trend, the Lotus Exige 350 special edition was made even lighter than the already-light previous version of the model. Installed with carbon fiver-sport seats, alloy wheels, brushed up front access panel, and lithium-ion battery, the vehicle is significantly lighter than its predecessor.
Performance Details
The Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition is powered by a supercharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine that is able to generate 295 lb.-ft. of torque to its back wheels, stampedes to 345 horsepower, and has a standard six-speed manual transmission. Furthermore, it can generate a top speed of 170 mph and is good to ride on a full charge for an hour and 29 minutes long on the Hethel test track. In fact, the recorded performance features were deemed to be two seconds swifter compared to the buffer Lotus Evora 400.
Exterior
The Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition model was also deemed to be optimal in its usage of sound insulation on top of the even lighter feature. Furthermore, customers can choose from either shade for the vehicle's exterior color: Old English White, Motorsport Black, Essex Blue, or Dark Metallic Gray. Although there are varied choices to choose from the exterior paint, the wings and roof panel of the vehicle is standard matte black, reported Top Gear.
Lodged with a purchase price ranging from £61,900 to £6000 more than the regular model, the Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition was reported to be an exclusive version as only 50 units would be created.
