Ford has been caught cooking up something new for the Ford Mustang franchise as a spy photographer caught a glimpse of the upcoming muscle car on a public test drive. The model did not seem to appear like the GT500 and had emission equipment attached. Does this signal extra power for the reigning muscle car in the market to date?
In recent years, the Ford Mustang GT500 has dominated its best rivals, the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE SS and C2015 Chevrolet Z/28 muscle cars, in races. Despite its winning rites, spy photos revealed that the company is not done adding more power to its flagship model.
What The Spy Photos Got From The Test Drive
As reported by Auto Blog, the spy photographer was able to take a quick snap of the Ford Mustang covered-up vehicle having a new and improved front and rear exterior features. Unfortunately, exact details could not be attained as the vehicle was quite covered up by the front. Its tail lights and headlights were also completely covered but it seemed like they retained most of the current vehicle design.
The snapshots did not show that the spotted vehicle was some sort of a special edition. In fact, it lacked aggressive tires and aero which could signify the fact that the latest model would be considered as an everyday Ford Mustang GT.
The Specs
It was seen that the Ford Mustang latest version was also seen driving with an attached emissions equipment to it. This signaled the possibility that the company is cooking up updates to its already powerful engine. This may seem like the company is still constantly improving the make and model's power capabilities.
The Model Reigns Supreme In 'Forza Horizon 3' Xbox One
On the other hand, Torque News, reported the Ford Mustang to have claimed the spotlight for the newly released 'Forza Horizon 3' Xbox One racing game. According to the report, Xbox France is giving away a Ford Mustang-inspired Xbox One console although there had been no apparent badges of the brand on the feature. However, it did have similar headlights, grille, and bumper to that of the top-performing muscle car.
The latest Ford Mustang model had been spotted to be cooking up something better for its engine come the release of the said GT model.
