The much anticipated "The Grand Tour" program of former Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May is edging closer to launch. With this, Clarkson took us to a tour of their high-tech tent where all the action starts. Watch the video below and see for yourself.
Cutting-Edge Technology
In the video, we can see Clarkson get excited watching the technology and present technical equipment in the tent control room of the new show. According to Clarkson, there's so much technology in there that one could launch a spacecraft or control an aircraft. He says that it's not really a bad idea.
The truth is that the technical display of "The Grand Tour" is downright impressive, especially if we consider that it is not a conventional television program. Unlike other TV shows, this show is not fixed in one location; instead, they move to different cities to film the episodes that will shape the first season.
Speaking of episodes, the last one was recorded this weekend in California and it is believed that it will feature the first duel between the three hybrid supercars of the decade, the LaFerrari, the Porsche 918 Spyder and the McLaren P1.Car aficionados couldn't wait to see this epic battle and see which car will win. In the meantime, check out the tent tour video here.
The Grand Tour Is Coming, Top Gear Beware
After more than a year of shooting, the wait gradually comes to an end. Now we can start counting down the days until November 18 to watch the first episode of "The Grand Tour," which is widely considered as a promising motoring program of Amazon to be led by former Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, and producer by Top Gear's former executive producer Andy Wilman.
The ensemble's goal is to steal disenchanted viewers from the revamped Top Gear show now hosted by Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid. And from the looks of it, they are already succeeding as more and more people are talking about The Grand Tour while Top Gear is at its all-time low averaging only 1.9 million views on its previous season finale.
The Grand Tour promises a lot of surprise guests, crazy antics and the traditional humor that Clarkson, Mays and Hammond have, something which fans believe the new Top Gear ensemble lacks. Are you excited? Sound off in the comments below.
