An authorized local dealer of Ferrari and Maserati luxury sports car brands in Indonesia is set to launch a rental business aimed at high-end customers in Bali.
The latest service will be offered mainly to foreign travelers. The "Ferrari Experience Rental" will be offered in hotels and resorts in Bali. Irmawan Poedjadi, president director of local authorized dealer PT Citra Langgeng Otomotif told The Jakarta Post that the firm would partner with the Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts Bali near Kuta.
"We also plan to partner with travel agents to help market this service, especially to foreign tourists who are looking for luxury during their holiday in Bali." Poedjadi said. "Bali is a perfect place to enjoy a luxurious ride because the island is undoubtedly beautiful and it is free from traffic jams. That is why we did not pick Jakarta for this service."
The company is wrapping up the final concept for the domestic and foreign customers to whom Ferrari models would be offered. For better convenience and luxury, the company has chosen Ferrari California, a two-door grand sports car with 4,297cc engine for its customers. According to the Automobile magazine, the Ferrari California is priced at $201, 290 and it has a top speed of 310 kilometers per hour (193 mph) and will accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers in just 3.9 seconds.
"The company is also considering several other Ferrari models such as F430, F430 Spider and 612 Scaglietti for the service," Poedjadi said. "We hope the presence of Ferrari Experience Rental will drive tourism growth in our country, especially in Bali. It is the time for Indonesia to be the centre of the world."
The luxury sports cars have been decked out in yellow colors which is similar to the taxis used in New York City.
