Among the electric vehicles nowadays, EV patrons cannot help but to check out which between these two EVs is better -- either the Chevy Bolt or the Tesla Model 3.
Brought about by some reasons such as change in the environment and remarkable switches in the economy, car manufacturers still continue to pave the streets with their beyond expectation EVs (electric vehicles).
Strange in Range
Cars are cars. No matter what kind are they, they are all intended for mobilization. Tesla Model 3 is really one-of-a-kind, with 215-250 miles per single full charge. Tesla Model 3 becomes beneficial from the battery technology that was recently installed by the ultra-quick P100D variants in the Model S and also the Model X.
The company's newest battery pack is much denser and has an updated cooling system. Suffice to say, the new technology will help the Model 3 go further on a single charge without requiring the use of a bigger, heavier battery pack. Meanwhile, on June 3, Tesla announced that super charger network is not free.
On the other side of the road, a car engine is roaring and seems to show off itself that it can do better than that. This EV, with 200-hp electric motor, draws power from a floor-mounted battery pack and provides an EPA-rated range of 238 miles per charge and 119 MPGe combined. The high-tech cabin has a 10.2-inch touchscreen and a smaller, driver-facing 8.0-inch digital gauge cluster. Onboard Wi-Fi, 4G LTE connectivity, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto will be available.
On a driver test conducted, Chevy Bolt recorded the zero to 60 time at no more than seven seconds earlier in 2016. Chevy Bolt will show off a maximum 200 horsepower, pulling 266 pound-feet of torque its front wheels. While these numbers topped most existing competition, Model 3 will outrun the Bolt when it lands in 2017. Elon Musk, its CEO said Tesla Model 3 will be hitting the road at 60 miles per hour from a standstill in six seconds or even less. This is to quote the unveiled feature of a standard rear-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive.
Rise with the Price
Tesla Model 3 announced that this EV would start at the price of $35,000. That is before incentives and while he was in the limelight waiting for the Chevy Bolt reveal. Chevy Bolt, however, commences at $37,500 before available incentives. Of course, federal tax incentive is also something to consider.
Given this, Chevy Bolt drivers have a purse advantage of $7,500 deduction. It is more so that Tesla is still having a hard time about its tax credits.
Onto the Spotlight
Indeed, the greatness of these two EVs are established and really commendable. That is why when it comes to media recognition; these EVs are still bumping into each other in the quest of which is the better EV between them.
Tesla Model 3 reservation count had already reached 275,000 and is continuing to rise. This somehow gives a prediction that the automaker has plans to produce between 80,000 and 90,000 cars this year. But by the end of 2017, Tesla will be busy with the three models. This just means that those that are not in the first 100,000 will be driving this EV on estimate of 2019. However, Chevy Bolt EV will be available by the end of this year while 2016 and has no waiting list in thousands.
Writer's Pick
Emphasis given, cars are all made for transportation. Between these two, mobility and ability is the test. Tesla Model 3 is way faster and much cheaper for a super green car. Likewise, Tesla Model 3's is also not left behind as it is hip and never out in style. Tesla Model 3 is definitely the EV car that this generation should go driving all along.
