The failed relationships in "Married At First Sight" will have another shot at finding true love as FYI orders a spinoff of the matchmaking series. The "Married At First Sight: Second Chances" series will start filming this year and may release in 2017.
Last season of "Married At First Sight," David's marriage to wife Ashley was a flop alongside Vanessa's marriage to Tres. With their failed relationships, FYI has ordered a spinoff of the series to give the two recently divorced individuals another shot at finding their soulmates.
"Married At First Sight" Spinoffs
As reported by TV Series Finale, the "Married At First Sight: Second Chances" spinoff will feature those that were not able to formulate a successful relationship with their spouses. Furthermore, the spinoff series will not only be for the failed relationship individuals but will also have the "Married At First Sight: The First Year" series as well. Therefore, FYI urged for two brand new series of the franchise.
The series will still feature marriage counseling professionals Pastor Calvin Roberson, Pepper Schwartz, and Rachel DeAlto. The spinoff series has already started film production in Atlanta, Georgia as we speak and might premiere by 2017.
Spinoff Storyline
In other news, Deadline reported men and women in both David and Vanessa's hometown in Georgia will be welcomed as new cast members in the spinoff. Their courtships, numerous dating events, and other relationship-linked activities will be featured on the show.
The Masterminds Of Love
"Married At First Sight: Second Chances" is produced by Kinetic Content along with the show's executive producers in the persons of Shura Davison and Gena McCarthy - both part of the FYI family.
At present, "Married At First Sight" season four is expected to air during Tuesday nights at FYI starting October 25, 2016. For "Married At First Sight: Second Chances" and "Married At First Sight: The First Year," no official announcements had been made as to when the release date would be as the cast and crew are still currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia as we speak.
