It seems that the Samsung has more trump cards to compete against Apple. While Apple is busy trying to launch its new iPhone this fall to compete against the current hottest smartphone Galaxy S3, Samsung has been reported to release its Galaxy Note’s successor, Galaxy Note 2, this October.
According to a Korean news website, MK News, Samsung will officially announce the Galaxy Note 2 in the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) in Berlin on August 31. The report also suggested that the device will be released in October.
Recent rumors suggested that Apple is hurrying to launch their next generation of smartphone, commonly dubbed “iPhone 5”, to compete against Galaxy S3, which was first released in the U.S. market in June. According to a rumor from the company’s supply manufacturer in Taiwan, iPhone 5 may be available as early as August.
Now the rumored Galaxy Note 2 will add more fuel on the rivalry between Apple and Samsung. Like the Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 will feature stunning spec, including a 5.5-inch super large HD display, a quad-core processor, and a 12-megapixel camera. What’s more, it will be running on Google’s latest Android operating system version 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Other rumors suggest the Note 2 will bring a revolutionary display with flexible OLED, instead of the common glass. The S-Voice allows users to set meeting schedules and reminders using their voices. This has been a feature that Samsung uses to challenge Apple’s Siri.
Could Samsung take on Apple’s flagship iPhone with its two trump cards this fall?
