Kanye West started New York Fashion Week with a whimper as models for his Yeezy Clothing Collection season four event started to collapse. Furthermore, critics have called his collection as somewhat below 'fashion' standards.
Last September 8, 2016, Kanye West along with his wife, Kim Kardashian and two of the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" stars Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner with boyfriend Tyga lined up to support their brother-in-law. The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park was packed with social media personalities, artists, and fashion bloggers to witness the Yeezy Clothing Collection season four show.
Not Going According to Plan
The said show allegedly started off as a disaster as those who rode the buses to the event as transportation for the guests did not offer drinks or snacks to the passengers, reported the Mirror. According to reports, there were a lot of complaints since the show started an hour and a half late and the audience was made to wait in line under the scorching sun.
Furthermore, it was also revealed that two of the Yeezy Clothing Collection season four models were barely getting through with the walk as they were said to be exhausted from the 83-degree heat and were not offered water. In fact, it was revealed that one model was not able to make to the show proper as she fainted and needed immediate medical assistance.
Models Barely Made it Through
Having to wear coats and heels that were deemed to be a pain, model Teyana Taylor and Amina Blue barely made it through the runway, reported USA Today.
On top of that, the said Yeezy Clothing Collection season four event showcased fashion items that were low in 'fashion', according to a number of fashion critics. In fact, a New York Times Style reporter stated that the event was like a middle school field trip rather than a fashion show.
