Game publisher Ubisoft took part in the celebration of American Independence Day by releasing a new teaser trailer for its forthcoming American Revolution-themed videogame Assassin’s Creed III Wednesday.

The teaser showed that this third-person action game uses live actors to show different characters in different situations to fight for the Revolutionary War in 1775. A young soldier, a parliament politician, a farmer, a priest, a student, and even a housewife together with her children are all fill with rebellious emotions.

“There’s the American Revolution you know from history books. And then there’s the revolution you’ll be fighting,” wrote on the Ubisoft website.

"Stylistically, the commercial captures the beauty and brutality of the historic period,” said Sylvain Thirache, partner at Sid Lee and executive creative director of this game.

“Emotionally, it evokes the inner tension of witnessing injustice and empowers the audience to ignite a revolution.”

Players act as the hero Connor in the game. As a lone assassin, Connor fights against colonists in order to liberate the 13 colonies. In the scenes of this game, Ubisoft will lead players to meet “legendary heroes of American history” who will conspire to annihilate “those who threaten Liberty itself,” according to the company’s website.

U.K. gamers are going to have the chance to test this liberty-theme game through August in an in-store demo for a list of retailers. The official launch day is October 31, for players of PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox360. Pre-order is available for fans now.
