Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available in store today for Sprint.

The much anticipated Android-based smartphone experienced huge popularity, forcing some carriers to delay their launch. Sprint shipped the 16GB model of the device on June 21 and made it available in store today. As for the 32GB, however, the in-store availability has been delayed indefinitely. The 32GB of Galaxy S3 from Sprint will be available only in web sales, Sprint business sales, and Telesales initially.

The Korean electronic giant had to partly delay the launch of its Galaxy S3 in United States because the demand exceeded expectation. The phone, which was launched late May in Europe, met huge success, breaking sales record set by Apple's iPhone. In Unites States, the phone will be available in five major carriers, including Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular.

While the delay and waiting in line could mean popularity of the product, Samsung is frustrating some fans who had to wait to receive their Galaxy S3.

AT&T announced that they will have the phone ready in store on June 28, but they had to push back the date. No specific date has been given at the moment. The shipping, however, has started already, and they hope to fulfilled it within 10 business days.

Verizon and U.S. Cellular have not given a specific day yet, but both are experiencing shortage. According to sources, Verizon is said to shoot for July 11 to launch Galaxy S3. T-Mobile, who first launched the phone on June 21 with Sprint on 29 markets, currently carry the phone in store.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a 4.8-inch screen with HD Super AMOLED display, with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Its two cameras, 8-megapixel back and 1.9-megapixel front, are capable of taking high quality photos as well as HD video. The device is capable of near-field-communication (NFC) and 4G LTE.

Some are expecting Galaxy S3 to be the major threat to Apple's iPhone series. But with the delay, the Korean company is frustrating its fans.

Is it worth the wait? Or would you go buy an Apple iPhone 4S?
